Windows shell extension with C# -

I wanted to write a simple Windows shell extension to add to the context menu, and C # is the language I have the most Use the day. Is this a good option for shell expansions? Is the interface easy to get with it? Is there an additional overhead which can cause the menu to slow down to pop up?

Have any good signs given for starting?
