Free PIC C compiler -


I am searching for a free, and possibly open source C compiler for PIC. I can go without C, but I would like to get both options.

There are many compilers, but since I have never done PIC before, I am looking for user experience and advice. I am targeting the PIC16F88x family

I used it for a small project during school and it did great work.
