internet explorer 8 - IE8 javascript debugger is now broken -

I'm on Windows 7 using IE8 and Visual Studio 2005. I am enjoying the JavaScript debugger built in IE8 for many Java.

months. About 2 weeks ago, I installed some security updates for IE 8 (probably KB978207) and all of the JavaScript debuggers were suddenly broken.

If I received a warning from IE 8 that an error has occurred and is asking whether I want to debug debugger using the built-in debug, if I hit Yes, then I'm gray in the top left corner Popup gets "Javascript debugger. Breaking on JScript Runtime - Object does not support this property or method" is saying "Never seen before". Then nothing happens IE gets free and then I get a windows popup that IE 8 is no longer responding and asking if I want to end this process. If I try to finish the process, then nothing happens and I'm still in the gray popup. I would normally have to kill the debugging process from VS 2005, but the frozen IE8 still exists. It is not until the OS finally clears the process that it will be removed ...

Edit (new information):

I tried to remove the latest security updates and a silverlight update which came around the same time, but Windows automatically restored them ....

Then I tried to remove IE8 And then reset it to add it to your system to relate to IE8 It had no effect

After restoring IE8, I noticed that when I first tried to open the Developer Tools window by killing F12 from the regular IE8 window, then I did nothing Did not see, but I could see the title of Developer Tools. The task manager list was to right click on the task and to maximize the window, so I could actually see the Developer Tools window. As it mentioned herein is a bug:

I realized that if Aisaksplorr.aksa process is not the process went debug went to VS since 2005, the window will be maximized.

The gray popup developer tools window mentioned in my original post is from the iexplorer.exe process.

If I launch my app from VS 2005 and then hit F12 then I think the Developer Tools window has been opened (I can see that the window opened under the IE icon in my taskbar ), But it has not been shown. If I try to maximize it from the Task Manager, then it does not have any effect.

So basically, the Developer Tools window is freezing when it starts with my debugger I explorer .XA tries to open under the process. The OS asks if I want to kill the process because it is not responding, but it is unable to kill it. At some later point, the zombie i.e. the explorer.xa process is successfully killed (by OS i think).

It was as if you were telling me the F12 solution in the taskbar by pointing to F12 Has started but does not appear on the screen. Apparently the window is locked anywhere in the ground and if you try to debug in this situation then the cause of the big screws is made.

  • Start Developer Tools (F12)
  • Hover cursor on IE button on the taskbar until the context menu is displayed
  • Right on Developer Tools item in the context menu -Click (not the Taskbar button)
  • Click "Move"
  • Start tapping the arrows until you see the window. I left the stage So I had to catch the right arrow.
  • The window was just shaped in a window title bar, so dragging the right corner down and down.
  • Once the window went back and the shape changed, it would be nice to go now to close the situation "set".
