sql - Is there a downside to adding numerous indexes to tables? -


I am creating a new DB and wondering if there is any negativity to adding many indexes to tables that I think That's one

If I am creating an index but not using it, will it be the cause of any issue?

Indexes it faster in the search table, but for longer writing. Due to unused indexes, due to some unnecessary slowing will come.
